Cherry and Len met in one of the dance programs in 1970.

When did Cherry Kingston marry Len Goodman?
After two years of dating, they tied the knot on April 27, 1972.
The couple used to do annual visits to Monte Carlo with their friends to spend a holiday.
One year while they were visiting, they met a wealthy French man named ‘Michael’ in Casino.
Soon he became part of their group, and eventually fell in love with Cherry.

Cherry ended up requesting a divorce from Len, with it being finalised in 1987.
Speaking about their separation, Len revealed that his relationship with Cherry fell apart after their dance career ended in the mid-70s.
In a candid interview back in 2008, he told The DailyMail: "The dancing was the glue that really held us together.
"Once that finished she looked at me and thought, 'What am I doing with him?' She met this gorgeous Frenchman.
"I can’t blame her. He was a multi-millionaire. That helped I guess.
"It wasn’t a tragedy, although it was a shock because I always thought I’d be the one who would shove off."
Three years after their divorce, Len and Cherry bumped into each other while walking through Bexley Heath and ended up going for a coffee.
"The one thing that really got to me was the fact that you cleaned me out when you went off with your multi-millionaire French bloke," he remembered telling her.
Three days after their unexpected encounter a cheque arrived from Cherry with an apology.
Len said he was glad, not for the money, "but because it put a full stop on that chapter of my life".
Did Cherry Kingston and Len Goodman have any children?
The pair did not have any children together.
Cherry went on to have two kids with Michael.
Len had a son called James from a relationship he had with a woman called Lesley.

He is a Latin and ballroom dancer and he teaches at his father's dance hub, Goodman Dance Academy.
