THIS season of The Bachelorette is over after Charity Lawson gave out her final rose.

Charity chose Dotun Olubeko to be her husband over Joey Graziadei during the emotional season 20 finale of The Bachelorette.

Now, Joey will embark on his own love story as he was revealed to be the lead on the next season of The Bachelor during the finale's three-hour live event.

After the huge announcement was made, host Jesse Palmer revealed that there was a twist - one of the women that Joey will be dating next season was in the audience at the finale.

As the new contestant, Lea, was introduced to Joey on live television for the first time, viewers took to X to share their reactions to the "cringey" moment, as one wrote, "Yeah this is awkward. Prob worst idea they’ve had tbh."

"I’m cringing. This is awkward," one fan shared as another agreed: "Ya that was weird and awkward for the girl, Joey, and the audience."

While The Bachelor won't air until the spring, the Golden Bachelor is coming this fall on September 28 - and Bachelor in Paradise is set to premiere that same day on ABC.

“To step into this role as the fourth woman of color… it’s huge,” Charity continued.

“I recognize that, although it is my journey, it’s so much bigger than me, because I’m carrying along a whole community of people who are looking up [to me] and [I’m] representing that as well.”

  • Charity to star on DWTS

During the After the Final Rose special, which aired on ABC on Monday, the Season 20 winner told his bride-to-be: "I know you like to cut up."

  • Fans slam product placement, continued

Along with the promo shot in the episode, Maybelline was also featured in a commercial that aired during the start of the episode.

The commercial featured former Bachelor in Paradise season 7 couple Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

Some fans criticized the makeup brand in general.

"Why did they have a foundation that didn’t even match her skin tone on the counter," someone wrote.

Another asked: "Gave her basic a** make up where’s the Fenty?! The Dior? the Tom Ford????"

  • Fans slammed product placement

Fans of The Bachelorette have shared their opinions over the "shameless" product placement featured in the premiere episode.

As Charity was getting ready for the first night, she was seen looking into the bathroom mirror as she was dressed in her fully-sequined gown.

  • Fans are confused that Brayden Bowers is coming back

Fans of the Bachelor franchise on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, were confused as to why Brayden was invited back into Bachelor Nation.

Another said: "Brayden is going to paradise?! No! He wasn't ready to get engaged to Charity, he is still not ready for anyone else. Big waste of time!"

A third added: "So producers book people for bachelor(ette) just to get them in Paradise huh?"

Someone said: "I’m not mad Brayden and his earrings will be in paradise, just disappointed," and one commented, "Brayden wasn't cut out for the 'games' of reality tv so he's heading to Paradise!"

A short clip showed Brayden flirting with Kat Izzo from the 27th season of The Bachelor featuring Zach Shallcross.
