THIS season of The Bachelorette is over after Charity Lawson gave out her final rose.
Charity chose Dotun Olubeko to be her husband over Joey Graziadei during the emotional season 20 finale of The Bachelorette.
Now, Joey will embark on his own love story as he was revealed to be the lead on the next season of The Bachelor during the finale's three-hour live event.
After the huge announcement was made, host Jesse Palmer revealed that there was a twist - one of the women that Joey will be dating next season was in the audience at the finale.
As the new contestant, Lea, was introduced to Joey on live television for the first time, viewers took to X to share their reactions to the "cringey" moment, as one wrote, "Yeah this is awkward. Prob worst idea they’ve had tbh."

While The Bachelor won't air until the spring, the Golden Bachelor is coming this fall on September 28 - and Bachelor in Paradise is set to premiere that same day on ABC.

Contestants don’t have a glamorous life on set
During the two months that The Bachelor/Bachelorette films, contestants do not have access to their phones or the internet.
Contestants must make arrangements to take care of their finances while they are gone, as they have no access to the outside world.
It has also been claimed that contestants are responsible for doing their own hair, makeup, and selecting their wardrobes.
The show only provides a stylist for the premiere episode and for the final two contestants for the finale.
Host Jesse Palmer found love
Jesse married Emely Fardo on July 5, 2020, but the pair didn't share the news until a year later.
Fardo, 37, is a Brazilian-born model and photographer.

Making history
Charity is the fourth Black Bachelorette in the franchise’s history, which is something she has fully recognized the importance of.
“When I was told that I was going to be the next Bachelorette, that was one of the first things that I immediately thought of,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
“To step into this role as the fourth woman of color… it’s huge,” Charity continued.
“I recognize that, although it is my journey, it’s so much bigger than me, because I’m carrying along a whole community of people who are looking up [to me] and [I’m] representing that as well.”
Charity to star on DWTS
During the After the Final Rose special, which aired on ABC on Monday, the Season 20 winner told his bride-to-be: "I know you like to cut up."

Born on August 22, 1992, Dotun Olubeko is an integrative medicine specialist and reality TV contestant from Brooklyn, New York.
Dotun owns DPT Fitness; an online health and wellness service.
He’s a graduate of both California State University, Chico, and the University of Western States; where he studied nutritional sciences.
Although he resides in Brooklyn, he and his family are originally from Nigeria.
“We came here with nothing, but my parents took on whatever job they could,” he said about his parents and childhood during his series introduction.
“They’ve done really well to give me a life that I’m happy to live so it’s been a really humbling experience.”

Fans slam product placement, continued
Along with the promo shot in the episode, Maybelline was also featured in a commercial that aired during the start of the episode.
