Why did Ben Kissel leave The Last Podcast on the Left?

Ben Kissel is officially no longer a host on the Last Podcast on the Left, the podcast confirmed on October 4, 2023.

It is understood that Kissel left the show due to allegations made by his ex-girlfriend Taylor Moon.

The show stated via Instagram: "We have something difficult to say. Ben Kissel will no longer be a part of the Last Podcast Network or Last Podcast on the Left.

"To our fans, we sincerely want to thank you for having patience with us while we untangle all of this.

"We know how much our fans care for this show and how much it means to them.

The podcast gained popularity for its unique approach to exploring topics like true crimeconspiracy theoriesghosts, and more.

The announcement came weeks after the troubling allegations made by Taylor Moon.

In multiple social media posts, which have since been removed, Moon accused Kissel of allegedly mistreating and verbally abusing her.

She did not initially name Kissel in the posts.

Several days later, the podcaster announced he would be taking a break from social media, explaining that his philosophy is to keep his personal relationships “private.”

He also requested fans not spread “negative energy” regarding his “ex-partner.”

Not long after, Parks and Zebrowski announced during one of their Side Stories episodes that Kissel would be taking a break from the podcast to take care of his physical and mental health.

On September 16, Moon gave a full account of the alleged abuse during a Livestream with YouTuber Davey Jackson.

During the stream Moon didn't name Kissel, but confirmed the dates of their relationship and that he was taking a sabbatical from the popular podcast.

She alleged she was abused by Kissel several times and particularly pointed to one alleged instance following a show in Las Vegas in August of 2022.

Moon claimed that following the show, Kissel and his co-hosts decided to go out with their wives while she stayed in her hotel room.

She alleged Kissel returned to the room “very inebriated” and allegedly threw objects around the room.

She went on to claim that he allegedly called her a “pathetic f**king loser” and “stupid f**king b**h.”

Moon also alleged that the podcaster pushed her onto the bed and pressed his forehead onto her head while calling her names.

Additionally, Moon also claimed that she had spoken to one of Kissel’s “business partners” and his wife, revealing the incident at the time.

Following the livestream, Moon named Kissel as her abuser in a since-removed post on TikTok.
